SOTU. STATE of the UNION ADDRESS

 

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW (with goals and objectives):
  • To learn about a Constitutional custom in American politics. To observe an ordered part of our organized system of government.  To see the President of the US being "presidential." To be engaged in political and social issues of our time.
  • Watch at least 15 minutes of the State of the Union message, explain and respond to it.

Watch 15 minutes of the SOTU (the State of the Union address). Respond to this form. Watch the SOTU for 30 minutes. Share a Google doc with Mr. Pahl in which you
  1. Describe what President Obama talked about while you were listening and then
  2. React to it.  Did you agree, were you angered, bored, challenged? Explain.

  2. Share a Google doc with Mr. Pahl about what you think were the best parts of the SOTU and why.
  3. In the same Google doc, describe any solution or plan that the President shared to help solve/cure/tame any problem now facing Americans or the world.
