There are 12 issue areas below. Each has two choices. Fill in the radio button for only one of the two positions listed for each issue. When you have finished, total your column A buttons and your Column B buttons...

1. Abortion

  • Private insurers are preferable to government mandates; if everybody gets healthcare the quality of care will be drastically reduced for most people...
  
8. Taxes
  • Increase taxes on the wealthy to pay for public programs
  
  • Cutting taxes for everyone helps the economy
  
9. Military
  • Cut military spending; expand veteran’s benefits; act in concert with other nations and support the UN
  
  • Increase military spending; don’t be constrained by other nations or by the UN
  
10. Death Penalty
  • Oppose/It is not a deterrent and innocent people are in jeopardy
 
  • Favor/The death penalty is necessary and effective
  
11. Gay Rights
  • Favor/Gays rights and marriage are civil rights
  
  • Oppose/Marriage is a sacred trust between a man and woman
  
12. Prayer in School
  • Oppose/ This is a violation of the separation between church and state
  
  • Favor/It is a religious right and our Judeo-Christian heritage
